My city Topic (Essay for 9th and 10th class)

A city is a place where someone lives/spends his life with the availability of basic/fundamental needs such as finer education academies, hospitals for health, and offices for complaining any issue or solve any problems, also markets, etc. Everyone loves his town or city clearly. It is like loving the home or place where one passes ones life. My city is Umerkot. Umerkot is a historical city where all needs are available such as: finer education academies, health institutes, entertaining and historical places.

Umerkot formerly known as Amarkot is a city in Sindh province of Pakistan. The name Umerkot is known after the emperor Umer Soomro fort and the city is also birthplace of mughal emperor Akbar, It is 68th largest city of Pakistan, the local language is dhatki, Umerkot has always been the city of joy and happiness it has an area of 48.6 km2 and according to 2017 census it has population of 135053. It is the center of education, business and economics.

My city Umerkot is a historical because there are many old places those show the history of sindh. the most historical place in my city is fort of umer which is not built by umer but it is too old from umer, in fort of umer there is archeological museum where the oldest historical things are kept such as guns, books, maps and statues which show our culture and its dignity, there is also the birthplace of mughal emperor Akbar the great and also another place moomal-g-Mari and there is also a religious place temple of Shiv. It is too old that shah latif and other poets mentioned Umerkot city in their poetry.

It is center of education and health. Because there are many private and government colleges schools which provide education in medical and also computer science. There are libraries in which available books about religions, literature, and world level. Another reason that Umerkot is center of education because students came here from not only city but from villages, towns even from other districts. Now there is also a university and this is good news for students. There are also private and government hospitals where the special doctors are joined. There is district level hospital where patients come from far away areas. But there is no well drainage system and roads.

There are many entertaining places economic sources. Such as Sooraj park, Jinnah park etc. where we can entertain but there are machines kept for our body exercise. Also our historical places are used for entertainment. From tourists people earn little, there are many markets, shopping moles and sorrounded by agriculture so people earn much more from here and other institutes and governments jobs provide salaries. 

To sum up, my city is lovely historical and fulfilled of nature’s beauty. As a citizens it is our responsibility to care, respect of this city and historical places. The government should organize the festivals about the history of my city as everyone know about history and also built roads and drainage system and repair historical places as it will be glowing in the light of beauty.
